"In prior 34 months from date closed 1 Time 30 days late"
Date closed: 9/2000 WHEN did that late payment occur and how does scoring software count this? |

That is exactly how a late payment from Victoria's Secret was showing. I'm inclined to believe it is viewed as a very current delinquency. No where on the report did I see what month I was late.
I received my score and this one and only 30 day late was THE #1 reason for not scoring higher. #2 was my chapter 7 (3 years ago) I'm still waiting to hear back on my disputes. I'll keep you updated. |

Maer, thanks for sharing your score factors, it motivated me to send my planetfeedback.com letter:
All Trans Union SHARED planetfeedback.com letters ----------------------------------------------------------------------- August 10, 2001 TO: Harry Gambill, CEO Trans Union LLC Post Office Box 2000 Chester, PA 19022 FROM: Christine Baker www.bayhouse.com RE: PLANETFEEDBACK REFERENCE NUMBER 949262 Dear Mr. Gambill, Your consumer credit reports don't show the dates of late payments. Example: "In prior 34 months from date closed 1 Time 30 days late" Date closed: 9/2000 WHEN did that late payment occur? HOW does credit scoring software date this late payment? I think that your consumer credit reports are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act, so I faxed this letter to the FTC at 202-326-2012. Please include the dates for EACH late payment reported on your credit reports or remove ALL late payments from ALL credit reports. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. You can post your response directly at http://www.bayhouse.com/credit-foru...php?threadid=66 Sincerely, Christine Baker (...)@bayhouse.com CC: John McCain Jon Kyl ------------------------------------------------------------------ My FTC fax: To Whom it May Concern: Below is my shared Planetfeedback.com letter to TU. Christine, I'm certainly no expert, but I think that TU somehow reports late dates by the number of months that precede the statement. At least this is true partially.
When I've pulled reports and then re-pulled again, I thinkg that the number of months always changes, but the lates are still there. At least that's what I remember. For example: In the past 34 months, one time 30 days late. And then, pulling the report two months later... In the past 36 months, one time 30 days late. And so on. It certainly doesn't help if there are 2 times, 3 times, etc. But it's a clue, at least. DD |
