6.5 year old PAID $500 collection = lower scores than Ch. 7 discharge 2 years ago
My SHARED letter to Fair Isaac at Planetfeedback.com:
I'd like to know WHICH date you are using to score collections. I reviewed the credit reports and there is only ONE derogatory account, a 1995 paid $500 collection. It is reported to Equifax (score 670) and Experian (score 661) The TU score is 725 and the collection is NOT reported. The Experian report states: Date opened: 7/95 Reported since: 3/1997 Date of status: 3/1997 Account history: Collection as of 3-1997 The account is scheduled to continue until 4/2002 The 1st score factor for both Equifax and Experian is 40 "Derogatory public record or collection filed." It sure looks to me like your scoring software is using an INCORRECT date. I'd very much appreciate your explanation for these absurd scores. I've seen higher scores 2 years after Chapter 7 discharge. Sincerely, Christine Baker CC: John McCain Jon Kyl |
