Can they take my commission?

I have been to two consultations with two seperate lawyers as I am contemplating a chapter 7. I have been told on both occasions that any commissions due to me on the day I file will be taken and distributed to creditors. Is this accurate? Can they just take money I haven't received or may possibly have coming?

They may be right, although it really doesn't make any sense.

If you are on salary, they don't take the salary you got coming.
