View Full Version : Improper reporting by Wells Fargo

OK - we gave up our home in our bk. We were current on our mtg when we filed. Wells Fargo is now reporting on my credit files with 4-120 day lates, 2- 90 day lates and foreclosure! We were current when we filed as I stated above - can they do this? To clarify, they are reporting "incl in bk/paid" but under the "history" section they are reporting all this bad stuff.

Can they legally report this information in the "history section"? I've disputed 3 times and it keeps coming back verified. Can I sue? If so, what can I quote in my letter to them from the FCRA?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

which report? EQ, TU or EX?

Looking at my reports, EQ and TU simply state "included in BK". Save old reports with the information on dates since they will be on your report for 7 yrs from date of first delinquency preceding chargeoff.

EX on the other hand insists that the late information be included. No amount of challenging letters, calls will get them to remove. Whether it's legal is up to someone rich to sue them and get it changed. And you can get wealthy following BK!

It's experian on my reports as well.
What can we do from here? This is illegal...I'm going to call my bk atty and see if they will send a letter...other than that I think I will see what legal remedies are available.

Grateful for any advice offered to help with this issue. It's so frustrating!

Guess I'm that "someone" :)

I just updated the http://www.bayhouse.com/bkcreditdispute.shtml and I thought I wasn't seeing right: I'd totally forgotten about that dispute of the Cap One account!

You're welcome. And I just noticed that I forgot to point out that I'm suing but NOT rich. :(
