Hello, I filed chapter 13 in 1996 paid out in 1999, I had a car bank financed that was being made under the chapter 13, the car was wrecked and a total loss, not by any fault of mine. The court said i did not have to pay the difference between what the ins. company paid and what i owed, about $2000 dollars, now the bank reports this as a charge off and not under the chapter 13. my lawyer is now a state sentator and will not return my calls,. can you help. I have tried but the credeit beureas keep adding the info.

What exactly did you do with the bureaus? What do you mean by they're adding info?

And, what's your lawyer's name?

my lawyer's name is randall mangham, and by adding things, i mean that the info on this account gets updated every month, to show that i stiil owe on the charge-off. as far as the BUREAUS, i have asked that they remove this inforamation but they keep telling me it is correct.

It just sucks when attorneys don't provide any support after they got paid.

Your first step is to dispute it with the bureaus as "included in bankruptcy." If you already did that, you can write to the creditor too and advise them that the account was discharged.

It's not really the bureaus "adding it", but the creditor updates the account every month.
